“Welfare Eye” – An App for the Families of Deceased Police Officers Launched

Lahore police

Lahore Police has launched an app for the families of deceased police officers and has named it “Welfare Eye”. It is an Android based app and has been designed with the purpose of helping the families of the deceased police officials in getting the welfare and the funds conveniently.

CCPO Amin Wains was the one who inaugurated the app at his office.

A number of people were present on the location including DIG (Operations) Dr. Haider Ashraf, DIG (Investigations) Chaudhry Sultan, DIG (Security) Mr. Moen and SSP Admin Rana Ayyaz Saleem along with the families of the martyred soldiers.

“The app is being launched to help and solve the problems of families of martyr and deceased officials,” said CCPO on the occasion.

The step was taken after numerous complaints were registered by the families of the martyred police officials. They were facing difficulties in getting the benefits from the welfare projects which were announced by the government and the Police Department.

The welfare policy of the Police Department covers three categories of Policemen:

  • Policemen who lost their lives in the line of duty.
  • Those who died during the service period.
  • Those police officers who had to take retirement on medical grounds.

CCPO has also said that any family which is finding it hard to get access to all the benefits can send an SMS to the number 0301531515 and file the complaint.

Also, it is expected that CTPL will launch an Android-based app called Rasta as well.

This app will help in providing traffic updates to the citizens and improve their coordination on the road. this will help in reducing the traffic jams to quite an extent.

The Rasta app will be coming with six different features including traffic updates, e-challan, e-licensing, FM Radio, and even complaints.
