The Federal Government of Pakistan has taken a number of steps for the promotion of the technological industry and startups in the country. In Budget 2017-2018, Rs.200 million have been designated for the establishment of e-gateway in Pakistan. This information was revealed in the budget document.

As per the details, the State Bank of Pakistan has been assigned the duty to establish an e-gateway in the country. The document further states that this gateway will help in streamlining the mobile payments in the country.

The funds which are being allocated to this cause will also be used to train and educate the departments involved and their personnel.

It is highly anticipated that this e-gateway will help in making online transactions and this will be greatly beneficial for the business community and freelancers. They will be able to send and receive payments through the Internet.
