PIA to Introduce Intranet Facility for Certain Flights

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announces the launch of the new intranet facility which will be available on its prime domestic flights. It is expected that the service will be introduced on Friday.

With this service, the passengers will be able to access the internet and avail any form of entertainment on their smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

PIA has planned to check the services on a few selected flights initially and those flights which will have this facility from the coming Friday are PK-300, PK-301, PK-302, PK-303, PK-304, PK-305, PK-308, and PK-309.

This trial base service will have two phases to it.

In the first phase, 30 hours of content will be available and it has dramas, kids movies, tilawat, comedy, Urdu feature films, safety videos, music, and documentaries.

The second phase will be more advanced and will have 50 hours of entertainment content including interactive games for kids, western movies, and moving maps. Work has already been started on it and some fruitful results are expected in near future.
