PTCL Service Outage – Revelations in the Intelligence Report

The entire country suffered a loss of internet connection and even the mobile services because of some service failure on the end of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL). The malfunctioning of the fiber optic system resulted in a halt in many important institutions of the country.

The cities of Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, and Islamabad along with many other major cities of the country also suffered a loss of the mobile services run by PTCL.

The online booking system of Pakistan Railways stopped working because of loss of the internet connection. The sale of the tickets had to stop for quite some time causing the department to suffer significantly.

After many hours, the experts finally resolved the problem and the services were resumed. The intelligence team of PTCL has accepted that unknown people cut the fiber optic in Kharian and Quetta at the same time. The cables were cut in a very organized manner which shows that a plan was devised to carry out this illegal activity.

The ex-employees of the department might be involved in this action who have been fired by PTCL for one reason or the other. Teams have been assigned to the root of the matter.
