The President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain, has actually never attended school in his life.
The revelation was made when President came to attend the Parent’s Day function at the renowned Cadet College Hassanabdal as an honorary chief guest.
While giving his speech to the cadets, he used examples from his own life in order to make them understand the importance of education. He even mentioned the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and how important education was for him. He asked the cadets to follow the footsteps of the founder of the nation and must work for the betterment of the country with the help of education. He emphasized them to save the country from the problems which it faced currently and also the one’s which await in the future.
It was Syed Mohammad Ali, Alumni Relations Officer at the Cadet College, who actually revealed that the President has never been to a school and has been home schooled instead.
The President even went on to say that the future of the country would be a lot better if it were in the hands of those people who are academically more stable unlike him. According to him, such people will give Pakistan a better chance of survival.
It is the younger generation which will take the nation forward and Cadet College is providing the ideal education and training in this regard.
He also talked about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and said that it will prove to be wondrous for the country. The students should seek the numerous opportunities which are coming through it.
He also remembered the Army Public School Peshawar incident and expressed his immense grief and sorrow in this regard. He said that the nation can never forget the courage and valor of the victims of the attack and must take ample steps not to let such an incident occur ever again.
