Penguin algorithm was introduced on 24 April 2012 by Google as a standalone update. This algorithm was designed to penalize the websites which were not following the Google webmaster guidelines and using black hat techniques.
Penguin 4; the Latest Release for Real-time Search
After a long wait of two years, Google has finally updated its search algorithm Penguin. Since its launch, it is the fourth biggest release in this algorithm.
All websites affected by Penguin 3 will now be updated with this new release. Some webmasters have said that their web ranks which were dropped in the past are now coming back up.
Google Sandbags Millions of Website
After this release, crawlers will now work fast according to a statement released by Google:
“With this change, Penguin’s data is refreshed in real time, so changes will be visible much faster, typically taking effect shortly after we re-crawl and re-index a page”.
Thanks to the latest release, Penguin will not affect the whole domain now. It will devalue the spam pages and not affect the valuable pages within the same domain.
Future Penguin Updates
Google has refused to confirm the release of any future Penguin updates. However, chances are high that Penguin will be updated in the coming years to improve search.
Is Penguin 4 Fully Live?
Up until now, it is unknown how many websites have been affected by the release of penguin 4 as Google has not yet announced any details on this matter.
